I teach stress management tools by becoming aware of ineffective stress responses within the nervous system. When we are experiencing overwhelm and feel depleted and stuck, this has a negative effect on our ability to stay regulated, manage stress well, and be adaptable and flexible with life's challenges. I help clients build resiliency in their nervous system and increase wellbeing in multiple areas of life. I teach strategies that repattern stress responses that increase the feeling of being in control, resourceful, and able to manage life's challenges with ease and confidence.
My approach focuses on regulating the nervous system, connecting with the intelligence of the heart, increasing stress management skills, and resetting baselines of stress responses. I view a person's struggles and challenges in life through a Polyvagal lens in identifying how a person responds to everyday stressors, chronic stress, and traumatic events and experiences. I will help you become aware of the adaptive behaviors and stress responses that have occurred subconsciously and automatically in response to stressors or trauma. Together we create a map of your autonomic nervous system responses, triggers, and root causes of stress causing you to feel depleted and drained. Then we create a map to wellbeing and resilience by increasing skills and tools through exercises and techniques that rewire the nervous system. We also identify life's events and experiences that lead to renewal and a sense of ease and control. This all leads to new stress response patterns and improved life experiences. You will build resilience and an increased ability to navigate life differently. |
